Anti Work
The BBC reported today that “People who regularly put in overtime and work 10 or 11-hour days increase their heart disease risk by nearly two-thirds, research suggests.” This follows the publication of a study of 6,000 British civil servants in the European Heart Journal.
Cathy Ross a senior cardiac nurse at the British Heart Foundation, said: "Until researchers understand how our working lives can affect the risk to our heart health….we should refrain from all forms of work.” Okay I made the last part of that sentence up, but there’s always hope.
As Bob Black argued in ‘The Abolition of Work’ “Work is the source of nearly all the misery in the world. Almost any evil you'd care to name comes from working or from living in a world designed for work. In order to stop suffering, we have to stop working.” I may well have to add this proposal to my Constitution when (not if) I take over the world in my bid to ban Tuesdays.
I am led to believe by my sources that certain right-wing think tanks and their spin doctors are looking into this issue, although they are looking at banning the word due to it’s obvious negative connotations, rather than banning work. These sources say that they are undecided as to what word will replace ‘work’ but suggestions have included ‘neo-slavery’, ‘plebbing’ and ‘know your role’.
In the meantime, if your boss tries to strong arm you into some extra hours, feign a pain in your arm and have some blue food colouring handy to coat your lips.

Capitalism - A Marabou Stork Nightmare
"In 1997, we dumb Asians listened in abject humility as the "wise" men of both IMF and the World Bank lectured us what a sound financial system should be like. These guys went so far as to brand Malaysian PM Dr. Mahathir an incompetent Finance Minister who practised [sic] voodoo economics.
So how now? Any wise advices [sic] for the incompetent US Fed Governor and Secretary of the Treasury."

Western Democracy - A Study in Tyranny & Euro Pop
GB: "I shall give a propagandist reason for starting the war, no matter whether it is plausible or not. The victor will not be asked afterward whether he told the truth or not. In starting and waging a war it is not right that matters but victory." (1)TB looks up as he zips up GB's trousers and dabs his lips with a hankie "but millions could die your liege. The sheeple may get a bit miffed and your Bin Laden friends may join in the resulting melee. Iraq will even more devastated than we've made it in the last decade."GB "Perhaps it is well that it should be so, for certain nations must be decimated. But even if it were not, nothing can be done about it. It is obvious that if humanity is condemned to die of hunger, the last to die will be our two peoples." (2)

It is such a classic, hopeful piece. I particularly loved this:
'With Gordon Brown signalling a troop withdrawal of troops by mid 2009, it's a case of teaching, training and leading by example to get the Iraqi Army, police and provincial councils to continue the work the British Army has started...'and this:
'Whether the Iraqis can succeed in transforming the city after the British leave remains to be seen.'See all along those naughty Iraqi's just needed a damn good lesson! Bloody savages!

Play From Your Fucking Heart!
My view on music is to be open minded enough not to listen to just one genre. To never be afraid to try something new and widen your influences. However, this is tempered by the innate fascistic streak that surges through me when ever I hear manufactured pop; RnB from the US/UK (or anywhere for that matter). I have upset countless people and have even sought help but the reality is I know I’m right. Where I see injustice, like NATO and Oil Companies I must act.
