Capitalism - A Marabou Stork Nightmare

It's only Monday and the markets are taking a hammering and the dollar is crashing again. As usual the BBC's Robert Peston offered some analysis on Meltdown Monday but unsurprisingly its the comments from the public that are more insightful than the BBC's own(although I do concede that there is another bovine element that post on message boards). Take for example this gem from sizzlestick:
"In 1997, we dumb Asians listened in abject humility as the "wise" men of both IMF and the World Bank lectured us what a sound financial system should be like. These guys went so far as to brand Malaysian PM Dr. Mahathir an incompetent Finance Minister who practised [sic] voodoo economics.
So how now? Any wise advices [sic] for the incompetent US Fed Governor and Secretary of the Treasury."
The Gervaise family are known for their long beaks and links to General Depravity.
GONADS have theorised these features evolved for digging in corpses and snorting Columbia's finest.
Well, for what it's worth, I have some advice.

Beyond the Palin - One of the Many Faces of Evil

It has been pointed out that we have to be careful whenever we criticise women in positions of authority because of the extra baggage attached. By that I mean that unlike a man in a similar role, a women risks additional rancour due to her gender. Effectively, we demonise them because they are a woman (at which point some clever dick will make a snide comment about the chain being too long if they've wandered away from the kitchen/bedroom). However, just like Tony Blair's political hero Margaret Thatcher, there are some women who deserve every bit of scorn we can pour on them. For what it's worth I thought Thatcher was evil - bowel loosening evil. That she was a woman was irrelevant to her policies and the damage they did to British society leaving a fracticious legacy in her wake. But just because she is a woman does not mean she should be criticised any more or less than any other politician spouting the politics of hate. Not because they are women, but because of the evil corporate puppets that they are and what they stand for.

Stand up the Republican Party Vice President nominee, Sarah Palin.

I first saw SP on the news reports on the and then had the misfortune the other night of seeing her on BBC Parliament . I tried to watch to hear what she had to say but was utterly sickened by her false smile (which reminded me of a baddie in an Indiana Jones film - just with an American accent rather than a German one), the sycophantic Nuremberg like crowd and my low tolerance for the politics of hate and greed which she was spewing up. My initial thought was 'I have seen the face of Evil!' (more on this later).

When I had time to wash the filth of her words from my mind, I did some research which only reinforced my initial thoughts. I am therefore demonising SP because of her policies;

  • She is a member of the National Rifle Association which apart from wanting to arm bears (or was that bear arms?). South Park's take on American History (below) is illuminating when it comes to the NRA:

  • Her tacit reassertion of the Monroe/PNAC Doctrine 'With Russia wanting to control a vital pipeline in the Caucasus, and to divide and intimidate our European allies by using energy as a weapon, we cannot leave ourselves at the mercy of foreign suppliers. To confront the threat that Iran might seek to cut off nearly a fifth of world energy supplies ... or that terrorists might strike again at the Abqaiq facility in Saudi Arabia ... or that Venezuela might shut off its oil deliveries ...' Sarah Palin's Convention Speech. (Which translates as if they touch our oil, or what we think of as our oil we reserve the right to invade/attack or nuke.)

  • And last but not least the GOP standard of cutting taxes - 'Taxes are too high' (translation: 'yes, we will continue to rob from the poor to give to the rich paymasters who I am in the pockets of'). It's also a bit rich (ahem) considering that five of the last seven presidential terms of office have been Republican and until recently both the senate and congress were Republican. The reply to this is the tired free market economic mantra of, 'if it didn't work, it's because we didn't cut taxes enough!' (translation continue flogging a dead horse). Taxes could also go down if so much money wasn't spent bombing the planet. Over half a trillion dollars and counting on the war in Iraq alone (see the element on the sidebar for the running cost).

Whilst the campaigns for the presidency may be seen as a victory for the equality movement in the US, it is to the detriment of humanity that the nominees (Obama included) are war mongers in the pockets of corporations. I wasn't keen on Hillary Clinton either - not because she is a woman but what she stands for and has voted consistently effectively sharing 'much of President Bush’s dangerous attitudes toward international law and human rights'. I have described George W. Bush as the 'Grim Reaper' and the '5th Horseman of the Apocalypse'. If you had asked my comments on Dick Cheney when he became the GOP VP nominee I would have described him as 'the face of evil' too. Tony Blair quickly morphed into an evil SOB (the Grim Reapers grinning sidekick). Foolishly, the people of Britain placed their faith in him after nearly two decades of the conservatives so we replaced one lot of of evil bastards for the marketable grinning face of evil. .

The genocidal, destructive economic and military policies they endorse and which SP endorsed in her acceptance speech have led to the death of millions not only in Iraq and Afghanistan but also across the world where trade policies subjugate lesser 'unpeople'. That to my mind is evil, as evil as the whitewash in the media which are not analysing what Sarah Palin (or any other nominee) is really saying and instead focus more on the fact she is a woman. It's nothing more than a PR stunt, which she happily uses herself saying 'I'm a hockey mom', not that that is either here nor there, it's a spin on the usual average Joe/American Dream story used in American politics - 'hey I know all these corporations put me here but I'm just like you, really.' That she is a woman is just another unique selling point to the propaganda machine glossing over the politics of hate and greed with a smiling camera friendly face. It's there to take your eyes off the narrow agenda of issues. As Gore Vidal once said 'to be perfect for television is all a President has to be these days.'

Personally I prefer this from Alexei Sayle 'If you travel to the States . . . they have a lot of different words than like what we use. For instance: they say "elevator", we say "lift"; they say "drapes", we say "curtains"; they say "president", we say "seriously deranged git". This should of course include British Prime Ministers.

Unfortunately the gits, the collective media friendly faces of evil, vying for office on both sides of the Atlantic have left such a wake of destruction it will take the world generations to recover. Evil isn't just restricted to gender or race, however the odds are that evil will rear up one of its two ugly heads from the beast we like to call democracy.Give me a Grizzly Bear anyday!

Western Democracy - A Study in Tyranny & Euro Pop

Apologists for the war in Iraq are inclined to say things which equate to 'what a damn noble thing, well teach those bloody savages about democracy and freedom' - this is the ones who have given up their futile WMD/Al-falafel fantasies and now harp on about how brutal Mad Sad really was (he was a ‘Hitler‘ who ate dogs and boiled up bunnies - rather than dropping depleted uranium on their heads, which is a good thing!). So in line with their ability to stretch the realms of truth I wonder if these words were uttered by Dubbya and Tony Bliar circa. solar cycle 23
GB: "I shall give a propagandist reason for starting the war, no matter whether it is plausible or not. The victor will not be asked afterward whether he told the truth or not. In starting and waging a war it is not right that matters but victory." (1)

TB looks up as he zips up GB's trousers and dabs his lips with a hankie "but millions could die your liege. The sheeple may get a bit miffed and your Bin Laden friends may join in the resulting melee. Iraq will even more devastated than we've made it in the last decade."
GB "Perhaps it is well that it should be so, for certain nations must be decimated. But even if it were not, nothing can be done about it. It is obvious that if humanity is condemned to die of hunger, the last to die will be our two peoples." (2)
In case you hadn't guessed, these two particular statements were in fact by Hitler, Goebels and Goring respectively. Whilst Dubbya and his grinning sidekick are not quite in their league, I was surprised by how many parallels I drew whilst reading the rather enlightening Hitler - A Study in Tyranny (having sat on my shelf for the past two solar cycles).

It just begs the question what the fuck is wrong with their souls? Is this what power and the quest for power do to the human soul? I don't have an answer, however I have been thinking of a solution to this and I believe I have found a way to kill two birds with a one stone:

When on the Tuesday Double Monday that I finally seize power - I am rounding up all these genocidal freaks and the mewling cabbages that pass themselves off as their supporters/sympathisers. Then I am packing them off with the purveyors and producers of Euro Pop to the Isle of Wight (this is my stone by the way) who will provide the entertainment. The camp will be run by Butlins whilst they all await trial for their crimes.

The Vengaboys may yet save humanity!

Club 18:30 Basra

According to the latest good news Basra could be the holiday destination of choice soon.

It is such a classic, hopeful piece. I particularly loved this:
'With Gordon Brown signalling a troop withdrawal of troops by mid 2009, it's a case of teaching, training and leading by example to get the Iraqi Army, police and provincial councils to continue the work the British Army has started...'
and this:
'Whether the Iraqis can succeed in transforming the city after the British leave remains to be seen.'
See all along those naughty Iraqi's just needed a damn good lesson! Bloody savages!

For the War but Against the Troops

There often seems to be a presumption that our troops are courageous but reluctant heroes sent to do the dastardly deeds of others. This therefore exonerates them of any culpability. What is often ignored is our troops willingly join the armed forces from blind, rabid patriotism and often racism.

Our beloved troops willingly swallow the lies they are fed and there +is+ a very strong racist vein about kicking Johnny Foreigner and teaching them a lesson. Although the British view seems to very much hold that it is in fact the American troops that are the perpetrators, the collective zeal is to “kill some sand niggers” (Bill Hicks). Obviously this is not all troops but it is a sizeable chunk rather than rogue elements. If our police force can be described as “inherently racist” why can’t our armed forces?
When new recruits are trained they are spoon fed the same “intelligence” (propaganda) about the “enemy” that’s made to sound exclusive but is the same bull**** the rest of us are supplied. The latest is to state the Iranian “threat” and make it sound as if they (military top-brass) have information that the “civvies” don’t. Sound familiar? How many people trusted Tony Blair because he must have known something about Saddam  Hussain and his WMD that we didn't?

It doesn’t take a great leap of faith to realise that you are sadly +not+ defending the great unwashed public, or the nation but rather elite interests. It is hard to sympathise with anyone who has willingly signed up to become cannon-fodder in the interests of the establishment and +not+ the protection of our country. It’s like joining the Nazi’s because you wanted to defend Germany but you were prepared to ignore the less savour polices they undertook!

Bill Hick’s once said “aren't you [military] all a bunch of ****ing hired killers? Shut up! You are thugs, and when we need you to go blow the **** out of a nation of little brown people, we'll let you know”
